Project Outreach Gala

Project Outreach Launch Party!

The City of St. Louis has been fighting the good fight of providing services to the 10,000 justice-involved individuals released from state and federal facilities annually. Even with the help of over a dozen community organizations, the city is still unable to meet the career, training and housing needs of the entire demographic. As one of the most underserved populations in St. Louis, justice-involved individuals make up 35% of the homeless population while providing careers, training, housing and transitional guidance has exceeded the budgets and infrastructure available to area organizations.

In an effort to join the fight, Project Outreach has teamed up with The HomeQuest Group to make a positive change to underserved and underrepresented individuals, especially justice-involved individuals, both in housing and in training.  The goal is to reduce homelessness, recidivism and crime by offering its participants sustainable skills for a career and the opportunity to acquire an investment property over a 2-year period.  This allows them to LIVE FOR FREE and give back to their peers and community.

For the past 12 months, The HomeQuest Group and Project Outreach have built working relationships with St. Patrick Center, Father’s Support Center, Dismas House, Transition Center of St. Louis, Criminal Justice Ministry and Concordance Academy, just to name a few, to provide housing for the overflow of justice-involved individuals, but provide training and development to them as well.
